Kadaj was resting on the rooftop just outside their window. His head was tilted back as he gazed up at the azure sky above them. Luckily for them the weather had remained so clear and beautiful for them to enjoy now.
She went to the window and leaned her good arm against the windowsill, propping her head up with her hand. Turning her head, she noticed Kadaj's rather peaceful expression.
"Find anything interesting up there?" she asked, giving him a lazy smile.
"Some birds." he told her as he laid down on the warm slate roof. The sun had warmed the stone to make it pleasant to rest on.
He reminded her of a cat: content in warm, sunny places. She turned her attention to the sky aswell, "It's nice here. I wouldn't mind visit here again. Not the mansion, of course, but the area, you know?"
Kadaj nodded not looking at her, "Yes..it's nice here."
"I was born in a place like this. Spent a few years there before we started moving all the time. Can't recall the name, but the weather was always like this. Hadn't realized how much I missed it till now"
"I wasn't born at all..hah..hah."
"Oh..." she laughed lightly, "Guess you weren't"
"I remember Edge..and a few other places."
"Edge, I know I've heard that before. Where is that exactly?"
"On the outskirts of Midgar, I took you there more than once."
"Oh, so that's where that was." she mused, "I'm not too good on names of places. Absent-minded you know"
He tilted his head downwards so he could smile at her. "I know, that's okay though."
She blushed, turning her gaze downwards, "Oh....thank you for that. Most people aren't so accepting of it."
She grinned, still looking down, "And people say chivalry is old fashioned"
"Chivalry is a certain behavior that men used to practice. In old stories, there would be men called Knights, who would protect their home and their Ladies' honor. If anyone insulted or hurt the Lady, the Knight would defend her because he loved her."
"They're from fairy tales, which are made up stories of adventure and such. However, if we were in one of those fairy tales, you could say that you're my Knight, which makes me your Lady I guess" she smiled at him.
He smiled at her before returning his gaze back up at the sky above.
